TICKET BUYING TIPS

I saw these on the Team Jonas boards (credit to jblover92) and they seemed like really good tips!
They'll come in handy for next Monday ;)
----------------

-for presales-
-Have a Team Jonas window open, and a ticketmaster window open. (ticketmaster one open to the page of your event)

- Copy your presale code, then paste, doing it by memory is timely, and it can be really frustrating.

-for all shows-
- make sure your server for your internet is STRONG. If you work off WIFI, make sure your single is as strong as possible. (if at all possible, dont work off wifi, cause ticketmaster works better with ethernet, cable, or a wireless cell phone connection)

- while selecting tickets, DONT do best available, select whatever section you want to sit in, floor, or upper level, your 10xs more likely to get good seats if your specific about it.

- if you dont get the tickets you want the first time, its usually worth it to go back and check, ticketmaster releases new tickets every 20 mins. for the first hour. so theres always a chance to get better seats.

- a good way to get close, is to buy single seats, i know not everyone likes to do this. But its usually easy to stand by each other during the concert. and you end up rows and rows ahead of everyone else.

- if you cant get tickets at all, be sure to check back every day. sometimes tickets get released back into the system. And at 8 o clock the night before each show, ticketmaster releases 100 tickets. so theres a chance to get last minute tickets.

- the more you buy from ticketmaster, the better seats you get. I know, its awful, but its true. If you spend over a certain amount each year, you get put into a "preferred" group, where you get better seats and pre-sale codes for any show you want.

Hope that helps!

Even though I don't feel like it I guess I'll do a post today :)

BECAUSE ITS MARCH 11th AND ITS WORLD TOUR DATES TIIIIIIIIIIME.
DAAAAANG.

I am beyond excited and nervous...I just don't even know what to think about this. After a years worth of very very hard work, it was finally payed off when the boys video responded us on February 3rd. Freaking out included.

Let's just hope that that video was dropping subtle hints ;). Hopefully I won't have a heart attack over presales and such. Ugh. If worse comes to worse, I'll be attending the June 14th Zenith de Paris show and June 15th Wembley show...so that should be fun with the furthest being 13th row =) My place in Zenith..is...WAIT FOR IT: I HAVE NO PLACE! IT'S GENERAL ADMISSION STANDING! BOOYA. My ticket buying wasn't as crazy for that because I actually slept (I think...) and I was going for general admission tickets...so it's not like I would have been fighting for a seat. AND it wasn't Ticketmaster. -_-

Anyhow, for those of you who hate my Jonas Brothers part of me...I will elaborate on more of the things you may or may not (Thank you Danielle and Katie) be interested in.

Since we moved in, we've been settling down well and we're all doing great! Andi and Dani are doing well at school I'm assuming...as for me: I'm convinced that the French are hating on me as a foreigner and want to keep me out of school for as long as they can so I can get dumber. Just kidding. But this no school thing is really draining me. I need to meet people...like, now. I was saying it wouldn't have been any different from my semester at Borden since I would be taking a Musical Theatre Focus Program (I actually "attended" some of the classes and I LOVED the new people from the other schools!...well some of them haha. there were a few REALLY talented people and I'm sure that I would have fit it so well!). I mean ok...it WOULD have been different in the sense that I'd be getting education in my most needed area of study for post-secondary school AND I'd be having more fun AND I'd be earning 4 credits...it's the same because I wouldn't be learning anything *ahem* academic. Well excuse me.

I visited the International School of Paris which I didn't choose to attend because it's *hella* expensive...but I found some notices on the board for acting classes and such...so I shall check those out (one of them was www.bilingualacting.com but it wasn't much considering their prices are close to whack...OSSD owns everyone.) I should be doing more towards that in all of this spare time that I have but I just can't find enough energy to actually do it. Don't get me wrong, it's the future I want the most and I'm so desperate for it I'll do almost anything (excluding everything BEYOND dumb like NOT doing things my way or depend on Disney and do all that crap...the boys don't count they had a career and fanbase before Disney. kthx.) Whatever dudes, I'll be there soon. Nothings gona stop me now :).

Now let's just get out of that dreamy, puffy cloud I just rambled on about and I'll tell you about the exciting things that have been happening...OH WAIT: I've been sleeping till noon almost everyday and doing nothing. Ok that's not exactly what it is...my family and I actually go out and do things together. It's nice actually...having all this family time. I mean, my dad and brothers are at school for the day so my mum and I go out to Champs Elysees sometimes and sometimes with her friend and sometimes we go to the Indonesian Embassy for that Indonesian Food I miss so dearly, walking by everyday on the streets and smelling magnificant..smells...haha. Luckily my mothers an amazing cook herself, so I get to eat this awesome stuff veryyyy often!

Other than that, I've been having these like random 3am brain zaps where all of a sudden I just start THINKING...which is unusual because my brains usually in a fart.

This time, I was thinking of all the ways I could save up for the WORLD TOUR (sorry..but I think that almost everything I talk about SOMEHOW relates back to this...it's how a teenage girl works, I'm sorry). I made a money saving box actually and it looks pretty sweet!

Photobucket Photobucket

Made from a REAL LIFE milk carton, thankyouverymuch! I say that because back in Canada my family always uses BAGS...so it's like amazing here...haha. I also find it amazing that they have as much Nutella spreading (ha) around as they do in Canada. THANK YOU GOD.

What else? Hmm...well, I bought a jacket from H&M? It's kind of like a fall coat..it's cute. It's navy coloured and I don't really know how to describe the material...but it's good enough for me! Oh...and IT HAS POCKETS. Too sweet.

We've also been going to the nearest MONOPRIX (moh-no-pree...we jokingly call it moh-no-pricks sometimes...funny) religiously to get our groceries and all of our living needs. *Thumbs up* Thanks Monoprix! *twinkle smile*

So other than not being able to see the 3D movie...

Just joking..haha. But I DO need to see it very soon! I'm getting tempted by all these leaked versions of the movie and it simply WILL NOT DO! I will NOT watch this movie online until I've seen in in the movie theatres for as long as my wallet can live!

I guess the next couple of months will involve a lot of sacrificing of those "I NEED THAT" items (which is WEIRD because it's PARIS..you'd THINK I'd be spending SOME cashola?) and a lot of "Weeelll...if you DIDNT have to buy me that...can I have the money for my World Tour Money?". Also it will hopefully involve a lot of friend-making and EDUCATION.

If I think up of anything else that happened in the last week or two, I'll say so :P

Oh wait...we went to Le Louvre...but nothing exciting really happened. I spotted a lot of Nicholas' and Josepsh on name plates and stuff (sorry bb Kev :[ i dont think your name is ancient enough ahah) and some really weird sculptures...but nothing too exciting. The medeival exhibit was pretty neat though. Oh wait....Monna Lisa was WAYYYYYY small that I expected...but EVERYONE was going bonanza over taking pictures of her! I took about 4 or 5...Nothing too interesting haha. But the area of Le Louvre was very beautiful and I'd LOVE to just hang out there on a casual day sometime! I took a LOT of pictures...like I said, I'll be finding a way to share them outside of Facebook.

Adios for now...I'll update when I think of something major.

Moved and settled in!

Soooooooooo we're all moved and settled in our new apartment in Paris!

You won't believe the neighborhood we're in...its nuts! We're actually on one of the streets just off of Etoile (Arc de Triomphe, anyone?) which MEANS that Champs Elysees is like, right HERE too...not only are we on one of the streets off of Etoile...but if you literally stick your head out the window and look to the right, you'll see the Arc and it's literally right there. It's craaaaaaazy!

So come visit. Seriously. I haven't started school yet for some reason and I'm really lonely here...*sigh*.

But the good thing about not starting school yet means that our family goes everywhere together. It's given us a lot of time to spend with eachother and to bond more, it's awesome :). I used to not really hang out with my family a lot back home in Canada cause I was always hanging out with my friends. Now I realize that family is #1 (Thanks JB ;] )!

We're all just emptying our suitcases and looking at how things work around here. The lady to rented us the apartment is really nice and she was just going around with my parents listing stuff that's already damaged so we don't get accused later, haha. I'm sure we'll make many more...with 3 kids, ages ranging from 12-16 with tons of energy and big mouths, you're bound to have something go wrong sometime. Let's just hope we keep it to a minimum :P.

Now, the TV in France is really...abnormal. For me anyway. I just need to learn how to use it. The remotes are whack...the dvd player is confusing to use (I need my Bonus Jonas asap! D: ) and the channels I have to get used to. There's some free home video thing I just can't quite figure out...apparently the movies are free but the music videos, songs and TV shows on demand aren't...you can either subscribe to movies and tv shows for like 7.99 euros orrr get the whole shabang for 11.99 euros...Although I did find my boys on there (with double listings for Mandy and Year 3000...I have no idea why), I don't think it's worth subscribing to anything at the moment. Sorry boys :(.

I'll make a vlog later introducing my apartment for those of you who are interested. (cue the crickets...)

I haven't really been up to much in the past week...I just found out that the Jonas Brothers are playing in PARIS TOO...June 14th...and the presale is this TUESDAY...good god another presale morning of dying and pain. Don't get me wrong, I'm hella excited, it's just ticket buying for these guys is like life or death situation...at least it feels like it. You're paying 26 pounds for awesome seats or you're taking your chance refreshing to get crappier and crappier seats...good thing someone loves me and fate decided to give me Section A3 Row 13 Seat 34 =) SO THANKS. NOW...for this Paris show? I'm going to the venue today by metro just to practice getting there...I need to figure out if I'm going to Virgin Megastore or Fnac to get tickets or just getting them online with the Presale...TOO MUCH TO PLANNNNNNNN. Guh. I wonder how my ticket buying for the rest of the world tour will go...haha. They BETTER recognize me...good god. I'm ALSO organzing a bunch of meeting places for CUF, JS and TJ =D I'm exciiiiiited. Annnnddd I'm also making a bunch of signs to hold up (just simple sayings...you know, to get the message across).

Other than that, I'm slacking in unpacking (btw, my room is TINY...no windows..but I'll get used to it...I don't have anywhere to put my clothes at the moment but I'll figure something out) because I'm on this wonderful laptop. Filling my shelves with my stuff has been quite enjoyable so far (I'm not kidding). French music television is playing behind me and my brothers and I are dancing to sweet jams while pedestrians walk by our apartment...we wonder if they can hear/see us...oh well. I'm planning to go down to the venue that the boys are playing at in June by metro today just so I know how to get there. Practice makes perfect :).

I'm sure more will happen now that I live in this area. I hear Johnny Depp is in town...thanks for the tip Sarah K ;)

Pictures

Oh, and I'll find a way to easily share my pictures through my blog.

If you have me on Facebook, everythings there.

=)

Why am I too lazy to do anything in PARIS?!

Before I mention ANYTHING...I'd just like to say that I've successfully bought ONE ticket to the JONAS BROTHERS show at the WEMBLEY STADIUM in LONDON ENGLAND on JUNE 15.

SECTION A3 ROW 13, BABY.

----Anywhoooo---

So you'd THINK that I'd be out and about almost 24 hours a day for every day of the week being in good ol' Paris...but oddly enough, that's not the case. My apparent case of chronic fatigue has made it almost impossible for me to actually go out and do most of the things I'd like to do like explore all the secret streets with the cool little shops and spend money. Don't get me wrong, I've done it a few times...just not as much as I thought I would.

OH WELL.

This is what I've been up to since last time:

The fam and I decided to hit up another touristy spot on Sunday: Monmartre. The most artsy place in Paris, apparently. It was a popular hang out spot for famous artists and authors and it's still a popular hang out for artists (a LOT of portrait drawers walking around). I really enjoyed it with seeing Sacre Coeur (it's beautiful inside and outside!), the cute little streets, and the amazing view over paris. The hills were too steep for us to actually walk up (ok we're that lazy) so we took this really cool elevator thing. There were these crazy people trying to get our fingers caught in string so we'd give them money and we just kinda walked away and said no thanks...guess that's the only way to deal with them. There was this guy playing with a soccer ball on some really tall thing (I'm not sure what it is...it's like on the end of the staircase....'scuse me for my lack of vocab atm) and he was doing all these tricks and stuff and everyone was just in awe. Another thing I noticed is that everyone's really musical there. On the steps infront of Sacre Coeur, there were a few people just singing and dancing. It was cute. And there were people set up on the narrow streets with the little shops just jamming out. I took a total of 7 sweet polaroids on that trip.

After that, we decided to walk to the Moulin Rouge. Little did I know, that street was full of sex shops and made me completely uncomfortable...LOL. So we got across the Moulin Rouge, and went straight down the metro, relieved to be away from that uncomfortable street, hahaha.

ANYHOW: we also visited *Chinatown* the day before...or was that Friday? I don't remember...haha. It's really hard looking for good/cheap restaurants...but we finally found this one that had really good Vietnamese soup and stuff like that. It was also a reasonable price and the people were friendly. This woman sitting beside us was really nice cause she told the waiter something he didn't understand, haha. So after a bit (ok not a bit...a LOT) of walking, and after the boys were complaining about their gym outfits, we headed back to the apartment.

Another thing I did this week was I went grocery shopping by myself :). Mum gave me money and I did everything in like 15-20 minutes, it was amazing haha. I had to get milk, eggs, bread, baguettes and these little raisin pastries. I've never done anying by myself in Paris...so that little taste of liberty was cool. I don't even care that there was a homeless guy infront of me at the Patisserie, asking me for money. XD I totally would have given some...but you know...I kinda wanted to save my money for this summer. Sorry dude :(.

An update about my little brother Andi? He's still not talking to me. I'd really like for us to be friends again...but at the moment he's just making it impossible. I'd like to try to do anything I can to make him cooperate. I don't really know how to deal with 12 year olds. If you have any ideas, PLEASE let me know :P.

Now, we also needed to get our passes which we haven't gotten because of a bunch of dumb rules. On the way there on Monday (I think), the metro stopped and the lights went out for a bit..and then it started up again so I was all, "Awwwww mannn." Admit it. Being stuck in a metro WOULD have been fun and interesting...hahaha.

When we got to the station, we were taking pictures in the PHOTOMATON and some homeless guy was yelling outside the door...I don't know why. It was kinda creepy, but I found it amusing. We were contemplating whether to go out that way or to find a different exit. We decided to head out that way because we knew the homeless guy wouldn't do anything. Besides, homeless guys who yell for no reason are really amusing XD.

So after thaaat, we visited our NEW APARTMENT. We just followed dad as he signed some contracts and such. The lady who's renting us the apartment (Katya) is really nice and she said that she likes kids and stuff, but she has to be careful about renting out the apartment cause she rented it out to teenagers before and they ended up smashing the place. Don't worry, we won't do any harm to the place ;). The place is actually quiiiiite the looker. It's got a sweet vintage look to it. It looks like something from like 1800's, it's crazy. My rooms in the centre of the whole place and I have no windows...it's also the smallest room. Any mirrors in there will be BANISHED if I sleept there...I dont care...I'm easily creeped~. Oh...and if you want to know a little bit about our backyard~ ;) , I suggest you go on Google Maps and search 9 Avenue Carnot 75017 Paris....and be amazed. =)

And school? Yeah, I have no idea what's going on with that. I took some test in some hard to find place in some low rent district...kinda sketch but whatevs. I got there with my dad and as soon as I got there, they got up and lined up to go downstairs to take the test...so I was all, "erh okay? peace dad?" The math test kinda took me a long time because I hadn't reviewed anything. I presumed it was a test from the UK cause it was an "End of Year 10" test. And I think that Year 10 UK = Grade 11 Canada. So I'm sitting there with all these foreigners (I guess I am one to...whatever) from places like Vietnam, and the Middle East and I don't know what other places. All the boys there looked greasy...ew. I was pretty much the only girl. I just hope that there are better looking boys in my class later XD. So my math test was alright...they spent like 10 minutes handing out different tests to people from different countries. I took like an hour and a half on a 4 hour math test because I completely suck and there were some dumb questions that I totally could have answered and some dumb questions that I didn't even understand. The teachers there spoke VERY LITTLE English and this one teacher kept pointing out mistakes on my test and being all "no thats not how you do it" and explaining everything to me in French...and I'm all "Lady...you KNOW I can't understand everything you're saying...good GOD" So after that, they send me to the next room to write a little French blurb just so they could see how I wrote in french, and then to read a little paragraph and to answer questions on the paragraph. And thennnnnn some old lady comes in and questions me about all the material in French, so that was my oral part. And I told her (in FRENCH) that if i practiced more, I would have understood more...but I was really tired...haha. Lame excuse. Then she went on to tell me to wait 10 days before anything showed up. Yay, more vaca! But seriously...I really need to start meeting people...

Oh, and Tuesday morning was CHAOTIC for me...mentally and physically. I got 3 hours of sleep, got up at 7:30am, and realized that the UK was an hour behind so I had to wait an extra hour to buy tickets for the JB concert in June. I went to sleep till 9:45 (i wanted 9:30 but my mum forgot to wake me up...what would have happened if I didnt wake up in time?! good GOD. I stumbled around for 15 mins and realized it was 10am...then it was a GO. This is how it went according to my post on CallUsFreaks...

"oh jesus christ.
this thing brought out the most panickness out of me.
this is how i went:

-realized it was 10:00
-rushed to put in the deets for my tix
-got like B2 or whatever, so i was like PSH I CAN DO BETTER
-i kept getting back and forth from b's and s's so i was like -_-
-i got row 24 a3 and i was like hmm i wonder if i can do better (like a dumbass)
-back to b2's
-got row 20 a3, gave up and tried to get it...called my dad for the 3 digit security code cause i didnt have it
-credit card info needed some security info i DIDNT HAVE...parents are yelling at me cause my mum needs to check out her email for apartment updates
-panicked and got my mums visa out (good god these things are ridic)
-panicked some more cause i lost the 20th row tix
-panicked some more and got shitty seats
-panicked some more and got the right credit card info and ended up with 13th row centre LOL

soooooooooo yeah

A3 - Row 13 Seat 34

Best I could do and it's better than my Toronto seat XD

Im excited =) I just hope I can change the shipping address...we're still moving in an apartment and I don't know where we're moving =S"

Buuuuuuuuut yeah. Other than that, everythings great! Our apartment finding stresses are over and now we need to find a way to move our 12 suitcases over to the new apartment by next Sunday!

One more thing to complain about...

So...FML for the Kings of Leon show tomorrow night at the Olympia being SOLD OUT.

At least it's not a Jonas Brothers show.

=)

Enjoying but still complaining....

Alright, so I'm kinda used to the whole idea of living here. Maybe it's cause that time of the month is over. HALLALUJAH.

The cold damp weather is gone (for now), I know where a lot of the things are, I'm not retarted with the Metro, and I've gotten used to speaking a French in public (unlike speaking French in French class when the teacher goes, "you mean this?" or "wow you're imaginative").

The ONE thing I get peeved about is having ALLLL these magazine stands, yet, the only thing you find is magazines with naked girls and newspapers and occasionally kids magazines with (wait for it) FREE CRAYONS! Like ONE stand has teeny mags. How am I supposed to get my JoBros fix that way? Oh well. That's what the Disney Store on Champs Elysees is for I guess. I went there the other day after an hour long meeting with Andi and Dani's new principal (which I strangely had to attend too...) and bought 3 sweet *magic* washcloths for 2 euros each. Now...these are purely for show and I'm definitely not using them because a) it's kinda creepy and b) the ink on them is kinda crap quality and it flakes off really easily. There was also a Camp Rock pillow for 10 euros that my mother might consider buying for meeee =).

So what else is on Champs Elysees? There are a MILLION movie theatres which, for now, I'm grateful for because that means that at LEAST one of them has to be showing the Jonas Brothers 3D movie. Unfortch, there isn't an opening date for France yet...

I think you've had enough of Jonas talk...my bad.

Anyway, the whole family (ok well no more than 3 or 4 of us) is up in our heads about finding an apartment. Who knew it was THIS hard to find an affordable 3 bedroom apartment in Paris? Geez. I mean, they're all very pretty...but with a family like ours we have certain needs that NEED to be fulfilled...anything less will not do or else we can't function. It's just the way we roll *cough*

So what else is there to complain about? Ok, I don't mean to sound so ungrateful...we're living in friggin PARIS! So many of my friends say they're jealous and everyone's just like "Can I PLEASE trade spots with you?!" but I don't think they realize that it's different when you're transferring your whole life here rather than just visiting for vacation. But maybe I'm just less enthusiastic about traveling (don't get me wrong, it's AWESOME!).

Other than the fact that my little brother Andi will NOT talk and cooperate with me...I think everything else is fine. I mean, we have this apartment thing going on...but once we deal with that it'll all be gooood.

If all else fails...at least we know there are fresh baguettes and croissants right around every corner!

Now that's awesome.

Adjusting

Moving, I've discovered, is like buying a new bra. You're not 100% comfortable in it till you've worn it for at least a couple of days.

I know I'm starting this a bit late, but I guess it's better later than never, right?

My family and I (mum, dad, 2 younger brothers who are 12 and 13) just arrived last Thursday in Paris, France. A couple of months back, we made the decision to change our lives and move here for half of a year (a longer stay will be determined later). We're super awesome at procrastinating, so like always, we left all the packing till the last minute. That resulted in my room still being half a mess and leaving behind half of my wardrobe because it didn't fit in the 2 suitcases I had to pack my stuff. We're keeping our house in Ottawa, Ontario Canada until we know we're staying longer in France.

Now, shopping is a hassle enough with 3 kids, even though they're at an age where they're SUPPOSED to be mature enough to not fight and handle themselves. Just imagine MOVING to another COUNTRY with 3 kids who can't live up to that! Anyhow, we manage. I try to be the best big sister I can be, even though my 12 year old brother has not spoken a word since halloween '08 to or around me. It's a mystery, to be honest. I've tried everything. But let's not worry about that right now. He can choose when he wants to speak to me.

Our hour at the airport was filled with happy goodbyes and good lucks on Wednesday Feb 11. Four of my mums friends came to say bye, our very helpful neighbour/family friend helped us with our 12 suitcases, so did my mums friend, as well as a taxi van. My grandma, her boyfriend and my uncle also came from Gananoque and Prescott. As I was eating my last burger in Canada, I began to feel my first emotion because I was leaving. Before, I didn't really care that I was moving to Paris. It didn't hit me. It didn't sink in that I was changing my life and possibly wouldn't live in Canada ever again (although I always say I'm coming back for university no matter what...). I kinda started to choke up and my dad noticed I was tearing up and started laughing at me...thanks dad. So anyway, we went through security, my crying was done, and we rushed to the gate.

The plane ride was pleasant, nonetheless. 26 minutes in the air! We rushed to the next gate in Montreal for our final plane ride to Paris. It was also a pleasant enough flight where I didn't have to have any panick attacks. Yay! I watched Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist (so cute =] ) and I browsed the planes entertainement system. I took pictures and videos of my brothers and I having fun on the plane (ok...me having fun..) and of High School Musical 3 I was enjoying on the screen (I took caps of shirtless Matt Prokop for Erica and Justine...but unfortch I was dumb and deleted everything sometime in the car on our way to our apartment).

So we land, and I notice that most of the men/boys seem significantly more attractive than the Canadian ones. Immediately I'm like, 'YES!'. Meeting our baggage was a breeze, thank god. We wait outside for our friend Fernando. Unfortch, he was stuck in traffic. My dad went to go look for him with Dani. All of a sudden, we saw some old man ask for a "Michael Bordt" so I went up to him to tell him he'd be back. Getting the luggage into ONE car was a hassle...but we got through it. Our apartment, when we got there, was a bit smaller and smellier that I expected, but it's all good now. We're only here for 17 days anyway until we find a new one for the rest of our stay.

Since we had to wait for our apartment to be cleaned, my family and I decided to hit up the cafe across the street. We had a couple plates of fries, a plate of yummy 'fillet du hareng' (well I liked it), some S. Pellegrino, cafes, and hot chocolates. My dad and I scoped out the street to see what our temporary neighbourhood was going to be like. We noticed a lot of skinny people and almost EVERYONE smokes. There were a lot of cute cafes and stores. We spotted a supermarket to buy our groceries at. I laughed at the similar stuff from Canada that they had. We headed back to the cafe where my mum and brothers were and I took my mum in the same tour my dad and I just finished doing. Our apartment was STILL not cleaned, so we headed in the direction of Etoile, where the Arc de Triomphe is. I was relieved we also had Starbucks, American Apparel, and (ready?) TEENY MAGAZINES! I could not be more relieved to see magazines with the Jonas Brothers in them, haha. There was even this one magazine I bought where it was all them and a GORGEOUS HUGE poster of them. I successfully asked the magazine stand lady if she had any english magazines. She told me I might find them at a bigger bookstore. 1 FRENCH COMMUNICATION POINT FOR MILA. So we keep walking, more teengers being skinny and smoking. At least they have a sense of fashion. We spot the Arc de Triomphe and I take a bunch of pictures of it. At this point, we're ready to go back home because I'm carrying a purse with crap in it AND a 17" laptop on my back. Let me tell you: that PLUS no sleep PLUS being...*ahem* a girl...it ain't cool. So we're trying to find a Metro stop at the end of Champs Elysees and we find one, and we go back, and TADA! Our apartments done! I immediately crash on the bed. I pretty much wake up at like 3 in the morning and I end up chatting with my friends online. I miss you guys :(. Erica sees my JB shirt via webcam, and she's telling me about the 3D movie standee and I'm sitting here being all, God DAMN I wish I was home! I have to see the 3D movie WAY later!

So the next day was EIFFLE TOWER TIME! I actually went out with my dad that afternoon to scope out rue de Passy cause I wanted to check out the H&M. I only bought earrings and bobbi pins. I was in line and the dude asked me something in English so I was confused. Then I realized he was speaking English, so I said, "OH! You noticed we were speaking ENGLISH!" so he was cool about it. Surprisingly, people in this area are cool about speaking English. Before my walk with my dad, I went out with my mum. We went to this cute boutique across the street from our apartment. Everything was hella-expensive, but my mum ended up buying cute earrings and a necklace for 10 euros. The lady in the boutique was really nice and I tried to tell her that we were in France cause my dad got a job here. So we headed to the Indonesian embassy to let them know my mum had arrived (...she's Indonesian, if you haven't guessed already). Other than seeing teeny magazines, this, seeing people speakin Indonesian, was the next thing to relieve me. It was something else I was used to and made me think of home. So we head back and we bought some bread at the Patisserie or whatever the heck its called (the baguettes and croissants are AMAZING). So we rest a bit at the apartment before we decide to head out to see the good ol' Eiffel Tower!

I can't even beging to tell you how big it is! (Or how many pictures we took of it!). It was FREEZING still, so I was ready to go home. I knew we had a long time to do this again, so I was getting impatient. But the Eiffel Tower at night is beautiful! We crossed the street, avoided more souvenir sellers, bought some fries and crepes and coffee, crossed the bridge, took more pics, took even more pics, and uhm...took even more pics. I took a break from my impatientness to get my dad to take a picture of me infront of the ET to make it look like it was coming out of my mouth (inspiration? Joe Jonas. Not what you're thinking. There's a picture of him on a boat tour like that.) So we head to Trocadero, take more pics, I'm still getting more impatient. Taking more and more pictures. My dad finds out that it's pointless taking the metro back home, so we walk. At this point, I'm like struggling to move cause I'm so cold. We get to the apartment gates, and guess what? ITS LOCKED AND WE DONT KNOW THE CODE! So we had to wait for someone to come in (thank God there was someone!) and we all laughed. We immediately went to find the code and drilled into our heads.

The next day was valentines day. Oh wait, what's valentines day? Anyhow, I stayed in bed all day with a cold, sick with a headache too. Not too great. But the skipping valentines day, we get to Sunday!

My dad decided to take us to this awesome Marketplace just outside of Paris. It had a bunch of really cheap stuff. My mum bought cute boots for 5 euros and we made talk with a Moroccan French chick who was really nice and we were speaking with her in English. Everyones so nice in Paris so far! So we catch up with my dad and brothers, and I find that there are Wayfarers on sale. I decide to skip the barganing cause I'm not a pro yet. I bought the damn pair for 5 euros. Black. They look nice. My other ones from Manhattan broke. :(. So after all that excitement and pushing through the crowd, we head to this really awesome antique place. There was a bunch of really old looking chandeliers and all these furniture things. They were really awesome. I took a bunch of pics of all of them haha. The whole vintagey feel was sweet. So we head back, we buy some baguettes and crepes, and head back to the metro, struggling to find our way home. We wanted to stop by a Carrefour, so we tried to look for the nearest one. Unfortch, after a long time of confusion of directions and shtuff, and me complaining to go back cause I was cold and tired and still sick, and my brother jumping off of everything, we find it! But oh no. It was CLOSED. Great. All that for nothing. At least we found it for next time, right? We head back and I, again, immediately head to bed.

Now, I promise not all of my entries will be that long. Well...it depends how interesting of a day I have. I also promise to improve the interestingness of my writing hahah. I pretty much just sat around today because my dad started his job today. Dani and I went down to the market to buy milk and juice and cereal. I was a dumb and bought Elle magazine for 5.30 euros, we successfully bought baguettes and croissants and headed back. Now everyones still really tired and I'm typing this very sentence you're enjoying before you.

Anyhow, I'm sure a LOT is going to happen in the next 6 months. There's a Kings of Leon show this Friday and im PSYCHED and if I don't go I'll be pissed. Tix for now are 38 euros...whatever.

I gotta let my bro use this laptop cause I was out of luck and my laptop just kinda...died. I don't know what's wrong with it. Hopefully I'll hit up H&M later again to get a blazer orrrr a new coat! Woohoo =)

Peace for now.
